1. Dovico, the company which I chose, seems to follow the marketing concept very well. Their vision is to produce high quality software to help their clients reach their business goals, which is what the marketing concept seems to be leading to. They've also received a lot of feedback from satisfied customers and keep customer ratings on their website. To create any successful business, creating successful marketing is the key. You cannot sell a product with no customers, and customers cannot buy your product without having it marketted to them. Furthermore, without aiming to satisfy your customer at all costs, you will not be able to produce a valuable product which your customers will want at all costs. 2. Yes, although going above and beyond to beat your competitors is important, being socially responsible could be the difference between a product that sells, and one that doesn't. If you market something to the public, and the majority gets either disgusted or offended, there goes over 50% of your possible customers. Dovico's marketing ideas, such as their banners, slogans and packaging, has a very socially responsible feel, as they keep it clean and simple. Although it may not be overly creative, the banner on the homepage is simple and effective, without the risk of offending anyone. It is a picture of four individuals having a small and enjoyable meeting. At the left, the name of their product is advertised. 3. The product that I have chosen would most likely appeal to business owners who would like to manage the time of their employees more efficiently. Since the market of this company is mostly overseas, the main focus is advertising through the internet and through successful transactions. Advertising over the internet is a positive marketing strategy for this product since the placement of the company is in a smaller area, this gives access to a much wider target area, and gives businesses which are out of Canada the chance to view the product first hand and take a tour of how it works and why it could work for them, while sitting at their desk.
