Q: When and why did you first start to skate? Terra: My mom was a skating coach and everyday she would go to the rink and skate so my choice was to sit and watch or to get out onto the ice and skate! John: My dad taught the canskate program so when I was 2 I started up with the skating and never looked back.
Q: What are your goals in
skating? Terra: John: Mine’s the same as most skaters I know, one day participate in the Olympics.
Q: What brands of skates do you wear (and blade)? Terra: Graph Skates and Pattern 99 Blades John: Don Jackson’s with a altima blade
Q: What is your favorite skating move? Terra: Dough-Nut Spin John: I enjoy lifts probably overhead the most
Q: What inspires or influences your skating? Terra: My love for the sport and my Family and Friends. John: Self motivation. I just love the feel of my blades cutting across the ice, but then there’s friends that you see at competitions and travel and competitions in themselves.
Q: How do you go about picking out your music...how did you choose it? Terra: My style of skating and if I have an urge to just get out there and perform. John: Yea I don’t really Terra and Kelly the choreographer usually just say do you like this and most times it’s all good.
Q: What level of school have you completed? Have you or are you having trouble balancing skating and school? Terra: I'm in Grade Nine at high school so it is a lot more different for me this year than the last year. At first I had some trouble balancing everything but then it all just fell into place and everything was fine. John: I’ve finished high school and I’ve never had a tough time balancing school and skating. |
