| I decided on the breed for this girl after reading a article in a back issue of Horse Illustrated. When I first started working on her I had no defined breed in mind for her other than that she was to be spanish in type. When I read this article I new that I had found the perfect breed for her. The history of the horse itself is intresting with it's spanish roots that are belived to be lined to Ponce DeLeon, but to make it even more intresting to me the horse is considered to be endangered. So what better way to possibly bring about a little more awareness of this special breed in my own way. |
