"Produce" is a fancy word for "fruits & vegetables." What do you see these letters are made up of? -(Fruits & vegetables!)
Sometimes these are made with no actual outline of the letter. The letter "S" to the right is one example.

if you want to make an illustrated word or letter, start by drawing the letter or word in block letters. A block letter is like the C to the left.

a slice of peach & a distorted ear of corn make the letter D. a slightly distorted green pepper & eggplant make the letter U.

if you can't quite imagine how to draw a block letter for any letter, draw the letter first (helps to use a thick marker), then draw an outline following all around the edges. like the C to the right.
Then you just fill in the letter(s) with things that are related to the word or letter. If you really fill it up, you can erase the outline and see if it still holds up as the letter. That is a little more difficult, so you can always leave the outline.
