| Koho joined our household in July 1999. She was only 7 weeks old, a ball of soft gray and white fluff with the most amazing blue eyes. Koho is a "merle" Great Dane. The merle coloring (light gray) is a mismarked color in the Great Dane breed and can result in genetic problems (deafness, vision problems, other health problems) in off-spring. Therefore merle Danes are not used for breeding. But they make wonderful pets. Her ears are uncropped for that eternal puppy look. FYI "Koho" is a brand of hockey equipment. |
