Thank you for visiting my online Gallery of Vintage Advertisements. I will tell you a little about myself, I have always appreciated art and have dabbled in painting for about 20 years- hence the nickname �Painted Creature�. Over the years I have purchased several pieces of art and absolutely love making themes through out my home. My husband brought my attention to �Vintage Advertisements� and that is where it all began. I first framed up ads for my kitchen using Old Dutch cleaner ads, then I moved into the bathroom with Pears and Palmolive Soap ads. From there we headed to the living room and began focusing on WWII ads. My husband is a History Major and started his own collection of WWII advertisements. They look absolutely fantastic displayed on our living room wall amongst his library of History books, also I have several antique maps that are so beautiful framed and look wonderful with the ads. He is also a huge fan of Football and Baseball his favorite teams are the Redskins and Yankees. He found a Norman Rockwell 1921 Lemon Crush featuring a NY Yankees player, it looks beautiful framed with a deep blue matting.
Most of our ads were taken from Life magazines and they look good framed in an 16 X 20,
I also use 14 X 11 frames.
