If you are lookiing for the most wonderful, loving type of dog to have as an added memeber of your family look no further! Pems are at home in just about any type of home, be it city or rural. And we don't think you can find a better dog to have around kids, horses, or any type of livestock. They are very gentle, with wonderful peppy personalities that love to play and are loyal. They are very eager to please, which in turn makes them easily trained. They love to learn tricks and romp through the snow. They are not generally very vocal dogs, which is nice, because when they do sound off we know there is something we need to check on.
If you aren't familiar with pems -- They are very old breed of dog originating in the welsh isles that was originally bred as a herding dog. This is still very true today. Our dogs naturally have this instinct within them, many is the time I have found one ours bedded down with our milk goats or our sheep on a cold winters night, or even standing gaurd when one of our mares is foaling. And our male herds our milk goats to and from the field all on his own, sees them right up onto the milking stand, then waits for them to be turned loose to return them to the field.
We have puppies for sale at various time of the year, but many times our puppies are spoken for before they are even born. So if you are interested in a puppy it is best to contact us and get your name on the list. When the pups are born we will contact you, send you pix, and let you know what is available, and you may then send a deposit for the puppy you would like to be your next best friend. |
