We were playing the Tire Field, us versus the little kids. I was covering the center, Nathan had the right, Mike had the left, and some others were behind us. We started getting picked off, one by one. Nathan ran out of ammo. He told me to toss him one of my ammo pods. I knew how that would turn out -- I'd throw it to him, it would hit on the ground, the pod cap would snap open and the balls would spill. I didn't want to take that chance. Eventually everyone on my team got eliminated.... except for me. I was still in the center. Some kids were advancing to my left. I got up from my cover and ran like a madman to another tire behind me. When I was doing this, there were, like, three kids shooting at me. I was shooting at them. I managed to dodge all of their paintballs, although one grazed my head(without breaking). Anyway, now I was behind some cover again. I could see the kids once again closing in from my left. This was it, no more hiding. So, I popped out and shot like mad... with three of them shooting back at me. I would have nailed all three of them... HAD I NOT RUN OUT OF AMMO! They shot me - I was eliminated.I didn't know how low on paint I was, and that became my downfall. That experience gave me a reason to get a transparent hopper. |
