On June 30, 2001, I crashed my TL 1000s after having a few too many.The result was a compound fracture of my fibia and tibula not to mention the road rash on my right arm and leg.During the first surgery of my life I recieved a titanium rod (which doesn't set off metal detecters) in my leg care of my health insurance company. My doctor told me that it was there to stay unless it had to come out because of discomfort.I don't know what to think about that.I should just be happy because 60 years ago they would probably have just lopped it off.
