Hi this is the log of my Concours just stuff Ive done so we'll can keep track of it
3/31/02  brought the car inspected everthing on her the front end needs to be dealed with frist got the distributor so I dont have pull the wire off the battery.
Took Dano for a ride an to show him how good the car ran I excellerated hard then let off an baby had a mind of her own instead going straight she wanted to go right into on comin traffic ah oh whatch for that tree.
4/1/2 ordered all front end rubbers......put all wires into wire covers pulled off a camaro engin compertment lookin  better cant wait for front end parts to arrive.
4/10/2 parts arrive yahoo time to take her apart as I drive down to Buck-shots place the rear end started makin a strange noise like I tooled buckpshot only when I let off did it make the noise as i pull into 808 land I get out of the car and the cory is riding his go cart and notices the stream of oil follwing my car from Rio Linda Blvd crapola I look under her and the differential is just streamming out a bad stream of oil right from the front of the diff. buck-shot gives it  look over and says good thing your here now looks like we got to pull the diff apart when were done with the front end lets put it in the drive way now an out a pan under the diff to catch lube. So I pull her into the driveway where she sat for the next 2 months or so.
4/11/2 I start takin the front end apart its greasu mess I should have taken the car to the car wash and cleaned the front end up a little it would've made for a less dirty mess under there we get the left control arm off ya the bushing have gone completly though no wonder she had a mind her own also the left front rim is bent bummer these are hard to match corvette rims and one steering arm is also bent pretty good it looks this front and hit a curb or somethin an bent the rim an the control arm lucky it wasnt more I guess the front was so worn I couldnt feel that bent rim as it wobbeled down the road
4/13/2 I get the lower controll off and I find that I was sent the wrong bushings for the rear bushing it seems so of these 68 had the circirlar bushings but not this concours turns out I had the oval bushings in the rear we've never seen this on this old a car before so off to napa'r auto parts I go I also bought the big block springs at this time for a stiffer an more sporty ride we get the bushings in put the spring the left front end goes togetther start on the passager side .then bick-shot had a brain storm lets see what the diference is between thisfront end an the old monte carlo front end with disc brakes is we pull the front end out of the weeds. and low an behold there is no difference its the same spindle same steering arm everything bolted right up the drum mounts on the disc spindle an visa versa so disc brakes are going on the concours cool had some major brake promblems this should take of it 
4/17/2 after taken a few days off we start on the passenger side get it off a apart tonght so now we can start putting her back together
4/20/2 take another couple days off an we start piecing the right side back together. we  get it down on the ground i take it for ride brakes still have an issue bad its deffinetly an improvement rear end still makin a god offul noise  I pull back to the driveway and back it in now get the rear in the air an start taken the rear end out.   
4/21/2 I pull the drive shaft out an I find the yoke bolt is not even hand tight its as free as a bird so the yoke was pulling out causeing the bad a noise only when I let the gas. cool so alls I nned to replace are just the bearings cool hopefully.
4/30/2 we get the diff out and start tekin apart an once again this is a strange bird we find out instead of c clips holding the axles in this has four bolts an the backing plate of the rear brakes hodin the axles in just like my CJ-7. the strangnes dont end there later.....
5/3/2 I get the bearing set from sierra differential buck-shot & i start replaceing the race of the pinion gear you have to grind  the race down till it it pulls from the pinion buck-shot was doing this he take the gritder to it and I said damn the race is that deep oh ya say buck shot we get the race off an s#%t we grounded right into the pinion itself its got a 1/4 inch grooove right where we were grinding damn new ring an pinion set now  
5/4/2 back to seirra diff I go I wanted some 2.73s I like the hiway gears mo better ya can probli get down the 1/4 mile faster then me put that dont Impress me as much as how much gas did you use to get there this a cruiser so I like  the gears that are going to go 90 mph and the moter is not working its butt off to stay there Im pushin for better then 25 mpg with the four barrel  so I had to go to 3.08s which is ok I guess
5/8/2 ding ding ding ding round 3 ok I got the ring n pinion gear we do the heat the race and freeze the pinion thing no prob the race goes on the the pinoin perfectly we line the the ring geard up with the diff and hey these holes dont line up their the wrong size all this while the race is coolling on the pinion damn this ring gear aint gonna work on this differential this differential is not a sock 10 bolt for this year some how the diff was replaced with a newer diff an we ametuers cant tell the diff i guess so I throught the whole damn thing on my flatbed an drag it all out to sierra diff 
5/9/2 I get to sierra we find out it is a 10 bolt out of like a 75 chevelle to make it work I need to put a spacer between the ring gear and the diff so that my yoke would work with the pinion an the line up or something I didnt care I just wanted to get my car going I get the right parts this time but its too late in the day to start one more day to wait
5/10/2 HAVING ALL the prober parts we begin the assemblie of the rear end we get it together finally with all the prober parts  get the rear coil springs from tognettis the price was alot cheaper then the price at napa that turns out to be a mistake Ill get to that later . Bob gets  the differential together  antny an I assemble the the car back together i take it for a ride the brakes are not grabbing real well again but its late time to wrap things up tomorow is the day.
5/11/2 We adjust the brakes so the rear grab alot sooner an majic my brake peoblem solved I geet on it a little bit an we hear thomp thomp thomp from inderneath I imediatly think ah crap now the tranny is bad . i look underneath an I find an old sensor on a bracket the drive shaft must have been hitting the sensor when I punched it. ok Bob gets in to go for his 1st ride . we no sooner go around the corner an the car just dies.  ts been dieing for no reason so I pull to the side of the road an turn the key an it dont want to start at all daamn have to tow it bacl to buck shots we determine the module in the hei ingnition was bad. 
5/12/2 get new module car starts right off i take it for a good ride an at about 70 mph i feel a vibration from the drive shaft so one little dent in the drive shaft causes it to be out of balance an me fear is comformed the front end sits way to high of the ground as compared to the rear end which sits perfect so either I need to change the front springs or some lowering spindles not sure I guess I could raise the rear end a bit but the front end will still be way to highit never ends does it. 
5/13/2 NOW thats the outside is in ok condition its time to start on the interier as faar as the gauges go I installed the tach on the shifter plate an the triple guages I moved a little to make room for the big tach I had to move the tacj I never cared much for the tach on the steering columan the tach I use is a huge 5 1/4" GAUGE so I had under the wheel an it was in the way of all my vision an where it was sitting ,on the old colum shifhter I could move it around in an otu of my way like I said dorky now its alot cleaner
5/17/2 well last night was prtty bad I just get the concours going an now the bugs are comming out of the car I locked it last night an i wanted to go to the store so I go to get back into the car an key goes in an turns but no action an the lock  i get  in the other side passenger an slide over into the drivers seat an door doesn't want to open lock wont un lock nothing the drivers door dont open at all  an I dont have a clue how to fix this.does the door skin come off if so how does it come off with the the door stuck closed umm
5/18/2 I take the car down to buck-shots an Antny starts tearing the door skin out it took some doin but the skin came off by removing the skin from the door and saving the clips to the skinthen we had to remove lock mechanism we loosened up the screws holdin the lock mechnisim so we coould unlock the lock to get it to release the striker which we removed all screws holding the striker pryin an tryin to figure how the damn thing worked we pryed on the upper lock release. when we got the lock out we found the little spring which keeps the lock locked when you close the door ( AS LONG AS YOU HOLD down the lever while closeing the door ) when that little spring breaks your srcewed however the spring can be replaced from any gm lock mine came from a 75 camaro
6/2/2 TODAY was a cool day me an antny went to pick n pull as it was halve off everything all weekend cool except they gots no old car stuff at all anymore I got a couple pieces for the jeep and some lifts for the concours on the rear But we drove the concours withthe dieing problem an all hopein to find the problem we were cruisin down the freewaybout 70 mph or so an then it started dieing again so I pull to the slow lanes and get it going and Antny looks down at the tach an its goin nuts 8 grand then down to 3 back up to 7 jumpin all over the place so grab the key ready to restart it and the jumpin tach stopped an the the moter was hummin along again then it did this about 5 or 6 times when antnypulled the key from the ignition and it just purred along with no problem I guess the the switch doesnt like alot of weight hanggin from the key I pulled all the weight off  the key an the Concours ran prefectly it did try an die a few times but I just reached up an turn the keyalittle clockwise everthiing is okdrone it the rest of the day all around sacramento,CA   it ran perfectly all day 
6/3/2 changed the air cleaner oil and fiter got a locking gas cap
