|
Phoebe returns from her search of her father in New York after losing her job when she returns to live with her sisters, Prue and Piper, in San Fransisco in the Manor that their Grandmother left them. During their first night together Phoebe finds a book of witchcraft in the Attic named The Book Of Shadows and reads out an incantation making the sisters The Charmed Ones, very powerful witches and giving them powers that they were destined to have.
NOTE:
- The Unaired Pilot is the same as "Something Wicca This Way Comes" with the exception of a few extra scenes, the real inside of the Manor is used, it does not contain the Opening Credits, Darryl was not in it and the characters Andy and Phoebe were portrayed by different actors, Chris Boyd and Lori Rom.
- The incantation Phoebe reads out is:
Hear now the words of witches, the secrets we hid in the night.
The oldest of gods are invoked here, the great work of magic is sought.
In this night and in this hour, I call upon the ancient power.

|

Piper is scared of her powers and what might happen if she enters a church. Phoebe meets a photographer who sucks the life out of the young women to keep himself young. Prue has relationship complications with Andy and gets a job at the Auction House.

1x03 - Thank You For Not Morphing |
|
|
|
The sisters' estranged father returns, but it appears he has teamed up with the siters new neighbours who turn out to be shape-shifters trying to steal The Book Of Shadows.
NOTE:
- We see the sisters' father for the first time and find out his name is Victor.
- A different actor portrays Victor in later episodes.
- Victor was mistakenly name Victor Halliwell, in "That 70's Episode" we find out it is the women's name.
- This is Brian Krause first reocurring appearance as Leo Wyatt.
- The home movie at the end is in fact Alyssa Milano's home movie, the character Phoebe in it is really Alyssa Milano. |

1x04 - Dead Man Dating |

|
|
Prue disovers a devastation betrayal. Piper falls for the ghost of a recently murdered man who needs their help. Phoebe works as a psychic to help others and make money for Prue's birthday present.
NOTE:
- This is the first time Piper falls for a dead guy.
- Phoebe gets her first 1-episode jobs working as a Psychic at the Hotel Neptune. |

1x05 - Dream Sorcerer |
|
|
|
Prue finds her sleep disturbed by strange visions in which she's taunted by a man. Capable of stalking others in their dreams, he's already succeeded in killing women while they sleep. Phoebe and Piper cast a spell to attract men, but it turns out too strong, and they can barely escape their myriad admirers. |

1x06 - Wedding From Hell |
|
|
|
A mother made a promise to give her son in marriage to Hecate if Hecate would grant her money and power. Now Hecate is back to claim her husband, because only in a sanctified marraige can she conceive and give birth to a full demon child. The son is being forced into the marriage under a spell, and his beloved fiance has been banished. Piper is catering the wedding with the help of Phoebe. A priest tries to vanquish the demon, but fails. When he falls out a second story window, Andy takes the sword he was carrying to Prue to find out where it's from. Phoebe thinks Piper might be pregnant with a demon child because of a premonition. Finally the three sisters compare notes, realise what is going on and stop the wedding just in time. |

1x07 - The Fourth Sister |
|
|
|
Prue tries to find time with Andy. Phoebe and Piper fight for the attention of Leo. A troubled teenager, Aviva befirends Phoebe with the hope of joining the Halliwell's. Aviva has been lured to the dark powers of witchcraft by Kali, a Sourceress who appears to her through a mirror. It turns out Kali has given Aviva a mission to gain the sisters' trust and steal their powers.
NOTE:
- The woman who played Aviva's Aunt, is Phoebe's Boss Elise Rothman , Season's 4, 5 & 6.
- We find out the address of the Manor is, 1329 Prescott St, San Fransisco, California, 94104 and that their phone number is 555-0198.
- This is the second time Piper falls for a dead guy. |

1x08 - The Truth Is Out There...And It Hurts |
|
|
|
Acting on Phoebe's Premonition, the sisters race to stop a mysterious killer from striking again. Prue finds a truth spell and uses it to find out Andy's reaction to her being a witch, when the spell ends nobody but the sisters remember what was said and Andy's reaction towards Prue's secret breaks them up. Piper also uses this instant to make a first move on Leo. |

1x09 - The Witch Is Back |
|
|
|
A warlock from the past is released from his curse and tries to steal the sisters' powers with the help of Rex and Hannah, but the sisters resurrect their ancestor to combat with him. Piper works up her courage to ask Leo out. Andy gets frustrated by Prue's continous involvement with bizarre police investigations.
NOTE:
- We see the sisters' Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Grandmother Melinda Warren and their Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Grandfather Matthew Tate. We also find out there is someone in the family called Arnold Halliwell.
- When Phoebe discovers she can see the past as well as the future, Prue says something about how their powers grwoing. Phoebe says that she wanted to know howto fly, something she does in Season 3. |

1x10 - Wicca Envy |
|
|
|
Prue gets framed by her boss, Rex, for stealing from the Auction House and murdering to cover up the theft. When Piper and Phoebe figure out Rex is a warlock, they break Prue out of jail to help defeat him. Their plans are quickly ruined when Rex is there to photograph their crime and to blackmail them into giving up their powers for Prue's freedom. The girls then are faced with the decision of whether to give up their powers or not. |

1 x 11 - Feats Of Clay |
|
|
|
Phoebe's roguish ex-boyfriend Clay comes to town looking for a reconciliation, but his attentions have always come with strings attached, in this case a stolen Egyptian Urn which carries a mortal curse. Although Prue's overprotective sisterly hackles are raised by Clay's arrival, she deals with her own problem of trying to save the Auction House from bankruptcy. Piper's use of her powers in a misguided attempt at matchmaking may backfire. |

1x12 - The Wendigo |
|
|
|
Piper is attacked by a vicious beast, The Wendigo, eventually turning Piper into one. Andy goes on a stakeout with an FBI agent who is hunting the creature. Prue hires Phoebe to work at the auction house, but Phoebe's vision of a terrible car crash immediately sends her off on a mission to find a long-lost child.
NOTE:
- Phoebe gets her second 1-episode jobs working as a ? at Bucklands Auction House.
- We find out Piper's bloodtype is AB- and so is Andy's. |

1x13 - From Fear To Eternity |
|
|
|
The sisters mother warns them about a demon from the underworld who comes around every 1300 years on Friday the 13th to literally scare witches to death and feed on their fear. Phoebe has misgivings about her duties at a new job. Piper's superstition about relationships starting on Friday the 13th has her frustrated.

- Phoebe gets her third 1-episode jobs working as a ? at SWA Properties..
- The sisters fears are: Prue ?, Piper ? and Phoebe ?. |

1x14 - Secrets And Guys |
|
|
|
Prue helps a young witch, Max with the power of Psychokinesis, who has been kidnapped, and renews her own faith in having children. Phoebe finds out that Leo is really a guardian angel for good witches, when she discovers him Levitating in the Parlor. Leo must break up with Piper.

- We find out Leo is a Whitelighter.
- We see Leo Levitate, Orb and Heal. |

1x15 - Is There A Woogy In The House? |

|
|
Phoebe's fear of the "Woogyman" amuses Prue and Piper, until an earthquake releases a shadow demon. Phoebe under the control of the Woogyman tries to kill Prue and Piper, who must find a way to rescue Phoebe and get rid of the Woogyman.
NOTE:
- Phoebe gets possessed for first time.
- We see Grams for the first time. |

1x16 - Which Prue Is It Anyway? |
|
|
|
A warrior comes to town to kill the sibling with the power of Telekinesis as he did to their Great-Great-Great-Aunt Brianna. Phoebe has a Premonition of Prue being stabbed to death. To increase her power and vanquish Gabriel, Prue recites an incantation to multiply her power but ends up creating two more of herself. |

1x17 - That 70's Episode |
|
|
|
A powerful warlock shows up claiming that he made a pact with the sister's mother in which he spared her life in exchange for the girls' powers. Fleeing him, the three sisters go back in time to 1975 when their mother and grandmother were still alive and they try to prevent the pact.
NOTE:
- We see the sisters' mother for the first time and find out her name is Patricia "Patti" Halliwell who had the power of Temporal Statis and that Grams' name is Penelope "Penny" Halliwell who had the power of Telekinesis.
- We see Grams use her Telekinesis.
- We also find out that Patti was killed on February 28, 1978 by a demon drowning her. |

1x18 - When Bad Warlocks Go Good |
|
|
|
Brendan seeks to become a priest to avoid fulfilling his destiny as a warlock to complete the triangle of the Evil Charmed Ones with his half-brothers. Prue tries to help Brendan resist the urge to succumb to his evil side and stay on the right path, after witnessing a confrontation between him and his brothers. Phoebe tries to get Piper to stop shying away from a date with Josh. |

1x19 - Blind Sided |
|
|
|
When a young boy is kidnapped in a park, Prue's powers are seen by a reporter. Phoebe and Piper learn that Grimlocks kidnapped the child to steal their eyesight, Prue is confronted by the reporter who tells her he is going to expose her secret with or without her help. Phoebe seeks advice out of an old victim of the Grimlocks, a blind man, to try to figure out where the children are being held. Piper learns her boyfriend Josh is willing to pass up a job in Beverly Hills to stay in town with her. Andy finally learns about Prue's and her sisters' powers.
NOTE:

1x20 - The Power Of Two |
|
|
|
Piper worries about leaving Prue and Phoebe alone as she leaves on a business trip. While taking a tour of Alcatraz, Phoebe watches the ghost of a killer take possession of a guard's body so he can cross the waters that surround the prison. Once free from infamous prison the ghost targets those that played a part in his conviction to seek revenge. The sisters discover the only way to banish the ghost is for one of them to die and recite a spell while on the astral plane. |

|
1x21 - Love Hurts |
|
|
|
The sisters' vacation is cancelled when Leo shows up, victim of a dark lighter's lethal poison tipped arrow. He is seeking the sisters' help to protect a girl that is being targeted by the dark lighter. To try to save Leo from dying, Piper casts a spell that will swap her powers with his. Mistakenly the spell also causes Prue and Phoebe's powers to swap. Andy leaves his job to help Prue's secret from being exposed by an Internal Affairs investigation.
NOTE:
- First time we see one of Leo's charges.
- Piper gets the power to Heal, Prue gets the power to have Premonitions and Phoebe gets Telekinesis. |

1x22 - Deja Vu All Over Again |
|
|
|
As a warlock makes plans for his attempt to kill the Charmed Ones, he receives a visit from Tempus, a demon who will turn back time until the warlock succeeds in killing the sisters. Upon turning back time after the first failed attempt, Tempus informs the warlock only he will remember the previous events. Because of the endless loop, Phoebe has a number of strong cases of deja vu. Phoebe sees Andy's death at the hand of the warlock
NOTE:
- T.W. King's final episode.
- Piper quits her job at Quake.
- Prue closes the Manor door with her Telekinesis. |
