| Electric Current is the rate of charge past a given point in an electric circuit. Current is created when electricity is running through wires. Current is the result of voltage divided by resistance. Resistance is the measure of the degree to which an object opposes the passage of an electric current. Ohm's Law, named after George Ohm, states that the potential difference between two points along a connected path and the current flowing through it are proportional at a given temperature. Ohm's Law: V= IR Where V is the potential difference which is voltage which is defined by Volts; I is the current which measured in Amps and R is the resistance is measured in Ohms. |

| The Function of a fuse in an electric circuit is used so that the electrical wiring doesn't overload and blow up. A short circuit is a low resistance connection between two nodes of an electrical circuit that are at different voltages. This results in an excessive electrical current limited only by the internal impedence of the current source and potentially circuit damage. A short circuit is dangerous because it can result in explosion, fire, damage to the wire or cell, or a release of toxic fumes. | Series and Parallel Circuits are two basica ways of wiring components. the naming describes the method of attaching components. Series : one after the other and Parallel: next to each other. It is said that two circuit elements are connected in parallel if the ends of one circuit element are connected directly to the corresponding ends of the other. In Series, however, the circuit elements are connected end to end. In parallel if one bulb goes out the others will remain lit which is a plus, in series if one bulb goes out the whole string dies. Also in series the voltage going through each bulb is lower than that in the parallel. Although, the current going through both types of circuits are relatively equal.
