1. The U.S./Bush is doing this for economic gain:
Oh yeah, let me tell you, if I want to gain money the first thing I do is launch bunches of multi-million dollar missles into a country. Pure stupidity, war costs money there isn't some kind of financial gain from winning.
2. The U.S. doesn't have U.N. approval:
So what they are saying is that they want the approval of an organization that puts Cuba and Libya on its human rights commision and Iraq on its disarmament commision. (these statements are true). The U.N. had passed 17 resolutions (including 1441) wanting the disarmament of Iraq. So we had more than enough "approval" to attack Iraq.
3. The U.S. wasn't "justified" in its attack against Iraq:
Saddam Hussein has killed hundreds of thousands (many estimates put it in the millions) of people in and around his own country. In addition, he had weapons programs that threatened to kill many more innocent people possibly including Americans. Isn't protecting thousands of innocent lives worth fighting for?
4. "War is not the answer":
This is quite possibly the laziest fucking excuse I have ever seen or heard. Instead of stating why they are against the war they just say that it isn't the answer. Good job asshole but what do you think is the answer? Is the answer letting more innocent people die while Saddam Hussein and his regime collect billions (yes billions) of dollars from U.N. programs (namely "Oil for Food")? What if I punch an anti-war protestor in the face. When he gets mad and tries to hit me back I can just tell him that violence isn't the answer. I can tell him that it is wrong to prevent me from attacking him. Maybe after a few punches he will realize just how damn stupid his argument is.
5. Bush is just war-mongering:
I hardly count one war (two if you count Afghanistan which was also justified) as a monger. President Bush is just doing his job (quite well I might add) of protecting America and its citizens. If he was really a war mongerer than we would have attacked France long ago.
Ok, there are more of them but I think that you get my point. Anti-war protestors may be entitled to their own opinion (no matter how fucking idiotic, and not backed up it is) but don't bring the rest of the world down with you in your blaze of stupidity. You should stand up for your believes, but at least have a reason for it.
