MY ARTISTIC ENDEAVORS
Art, what is art anyway? I've seen enough abstract art to know that yes, a picnic table with a whole bunch of pints of lager on it, is indeed, sometimes considered art. Is art just self expression? Then surely what I'm doing isn't art. Most of my work is just my rendition of someone else's self expression. Well, as I ponder this at great length, feel free to have a look at my half-assed attempt to be arty (in a non-musical way).
Why I drew this, I don't know. I think at the time I was contemplating how anime artist draw women's hair sooo, I tried it. You'll notice as you go on that a lot of my people seem to be precariously pearched on the edge of the picture. For some reason, I never start drawing in the middle of the paper, therefore, half of their bodies are obscured. This one has no hands. Hands are my artistic mortal enemy. The end.
Next are my "Michael the Malkavian"s. Ok I can't really in all sincerity take any credit for this whatsoever. It's so a copy. The parts I had trouble with ended up being traces. It's straight out of White Wolf's Vampire the Masquerade. So, really this isn't really an artisic endeavor at all. But I colored it all by myself. And I even stayed inside the lines.
Ok, so I really liked my forementioned Michael the Malkavian so I tried again, this time not copying...quite so much. This is him again, with less messy hair. I also hid his hand because..well I don't even try hands...too often. The color is just pencil. I want to learn how to use all the cool things people use like Paint Shop Pro and whatnot some day. Unfortunately, I don't even have it..sooo...I haven't learned to use it So it's pencil for now.
This was probably the hardest thing I've ever drawn. Don't ask me why, it just was. This is Faye Valentine from Cowboy Bebop. This is where she's handcuffed up on board the Bebop. I'm quite proud of this one...as it was really hard, but I didn't quite get the face right...at all, the eyes are weird and uneven...and...so forth but, it does sort of resemble Faye sooo, that makes me pretty happy.
This is Spike Spiegel, also from Cowboy Bebop. Where as, Faye was probably the hardest thing I've ever drawn, Spike was probably the easiest. I really don't have anything else to say about this one, other than I want to put color on it a whole lot, but..don't have the right program to do it with.
This is supposed to be Vash the Stampede from Trigun. My sister said this one was really good, Quite frankly I thought this one sorta sucked. It took me ages to do, and the actual picture I was looking at had him with more of a sad face as opposed to an angry face. Oh well.
I think the following fall under the category of:
Fan Art

Ok, So this is Gabrielle Donovan. She's my Vampire: the Masquerade roleplaying character. I decided I wanted to try drawing her and this is what came of it. She's supposed to look more than a little like Katie Holmes and dress more than a little like Avril Lavigne. Now if only I could figure out light sources, I'd be laughing. MY GOD..I just used a Jamie Oliver expression. Michael, the next drawing is her Sire (she's a vampire).
