Matt's b-day is July 18th, 1979. He was born in Manhattan, but moved to Virginia when he was seven. He discovered he loved acting in grade school and continued acting throughout High School. He graduated in 1997, and instead of going to college, he became a true actor: he waited tables in New York City, until he joined the Benny Cast as a swing in May of 1999. He officially became Mark in January of 2000, and stayed with the cast until they closed on July 15th, 2001.
Since the beginning of August, Matt has been on a cross-country tour with Joshua Kobak (swing of the Benny Tour), performing his own music. They will continue around the US until their final show on September 17th, at CBGB's in NYC. That gig will be cybercast, so be sure to check it out. Check the Tour Dates page for more info. on gigs in specific cities.
After his 'tour', Matt will be going to Broadway as a swing in RENT. He starts rehearsals on October 15th, and begins on October 29th. Congratulations to Matt!!
