Coming Home

by jmr May 7, 2007

For years there's been an emptiness
A yearning for something more.
I've explored many paths
but none touched me,
made me want to explore further.
Until now.
It was always there I guess,
waiting patiently for me.
I shied away,
afraid of the ridicule,
afraid of being more of an outcast
than I already was.
Always on the outside looking in,
knowing there was something missing.
Now I've found it
and have been welcomed
with open arms and gentle understanding.
Finally a place that makes sense,
that fills the emptiness.
A place to call home.
