Merry Hello and Welcome to
December 17th
I can't wait!  I really dig this time of year.   The chilly mornings (ok, so i realize that 42' isn't chilly to some of you, but out here in the desert, its chilly).  I enjoy waking up before the kids and making a nice glass of hot tea, and listening to the silence.

Today, we are making candy cane decorations.  You will need...

lots of little candy canes
a couple of boxes of large candy canes
some brown pipe cleaners`
some litle wiggle eyes
your hot glue gun w/ sticks
small silver bells
some yarn / string

ornament #1 ~ We start off by taking two unwrapped little candy canes and glueing them together to make a heart. :)  When we are glueing the curved ends together i also include a loop of yarn in the glueing.  We take the two little silver bells and tie them each onto a string.  I then tie the string onto the low part of the heart.  Then tada, we hang them around on the tree.

ornament #2 ~ Take your wrapped large candy cane, a brown pipe cleaner, and two little wiggly eyes, and make a reindeer.  I pull out the glitter and the kids glue glitter onto the antlers ans sometimes even put left over bells on them.

The kids and I usually sit down and talk about the Lord and what transformations he go through during the year, and these reflect on our life.

Enjoy,
love your neighbors,
Blessings,
Fenix
