Merry Hello and Welcome to
December 14th
Today, we are going to decorate the house a little bit.

We live in an area where snow is very rare!  Alot of children that I know have never seen it snow outside. :(

So, we are going to make snowflakes.  Make sure that you cover your working area with an old tablecloth or newspaper, as this gets kinda messy.

I pull out all the cotton balls, glue, construction paper, glitter glue pens, markers, shaky glitter, scissors, paperplates, plain white paper, and anything else that looks like fun to make snowflakes with.

I then just let everyone loose explaining that their goal is to each make 3 different kinds of snowflakes.

It is a blast.  I usually start by making my mommies famous paperplate snowflake.  I fold it into half, and then half again, and then half again.  I cut pretty little designs into the edges.  I then pop it open, flatten it out and add glitter highlights to the edges of the inner cuts.

The next one I make is usually a picture of our house, drawn onto consturction paper, stretched out cotton balls glued to it, and then glitter glue the tops of the cotton balls to make it look like rainbow snow.

After that, I usually make  a strand of snowflakes using the fold and cut technique on different types of paper.

Well, Im off to get ready for cookie day tomorrow.

enjoy, and I will see you there.

Blessings,
Fenix
