The New York State Police have a free clinic for parents on how to properly secure car seats, booster seats and children. The clinic is held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the last Saturday of every month at Troop F Headquarters, 55 Crystal Run Road, Middletown. No appointment is necessary. For more information call 344-5347.
The Town of New Windsor Police Department, on Union Avenue, also will inspect your car seat for you. Their hours are 6:00am - 1:30pm and 2:00pm - 9:30pm. Please call first to make sure the trained inspector is available. 565-7000.
