PAG Meeting Minutes

Attendees: Kay Roche, Jen Butkus, Gene Wright, Erika Keutmann, Don Hulst, Mary Kenny,Sherri Ross, Jodi Cabrera, Michelle Alley, Kelly Redden, Elizabeth Montanino, Inza Downing, G. Francine Hall, and Alicia Wright.

New Business:

 

Welcome back.  Introductions were given of the attendees. Kelly Redden was introduced; she will be working with the center in training and curriculum.

 

 Fall/Winter menus were discussed – no issues were noted.

 

Staff Development day is scheduled for 19 December 2005 , a Monday.

 

Open House is next Thursday, October 20, 2005 basically a potluck dinner within the child’s room.

 

Code Red policy letters went out today – these a needed back by 1 November 2005 .  Reminder was given that both parents must be considered essential for the child to be care at those times.

 

Holiday Policy - A new poll to be sent out regarding celebrating holidays.  A reminder was given that no outside food is served in the CDC.  The Kitchen staff can provide cupcakes to rooms when celebrating a child’s birthday.  Goody bags will be sent home.

 

Accreditation Celebration- 5 year Accreditation/Validation was received.  It was a joint effort.  A special night is being planned for the staff, tentatively 10 November 2005 (confirmed).  Congratulations were given to the staff.

 

IMP Star Certification- Notification of pesticide uses – applied after hours.  Audit was last Friday.  Some procedures will be rewritten to take care of some issues.

 

October 25th – Tues a team will be coming in for a special needs video (Susan Craig) Other Centers Army wide are being videoed to provide staff with a training video.

 

10 Free Hours of childcare is being offer to child of deployed parents.  Jen to put this on the WEB site.

 

Survey – issues of availability and hourly care were highlighted.  Another 4-5 FCC sites will be available in 45 days.  Hours of operation also included in this.

 

693 update – Work on-going.  When building is back on line this will provide additional space in the CDC.

 

Kim Tague will be providing training for volunteers again.

 

A new Maintenance person is onboard, Mr. Ray.  A position is also available for a Nurse Physician (RN) 6 hours a day, 5 days a week, GS9, must have 1 year pediatric experience.

 

Next meeting November 10 2005 at 1200 hours in the CDC.
