PAG Meeting

13 January 2005

- Kay
opened the meeting discussing the parent survey.
The survey will be passed out on 1 Feb 2005. The survey needs to be
returned on 15 February 2005. It was asked the PAG help in approaching
parents to fill out the survey. It
only takes less than 15 minutes to fill out.
- A
new room (140) will open on
31 January 2005
(Eileen of hourly to be lead), and seven children from room 130 are going to
move into two separate pre-kindergarten rooms.
The vacant room 129 will be used an additional playroom.
Additional new equipment is being order for the rooms.
- Standard
procedure for PCS-ing. Two week notice is requested. Forms are
available at the front desk. A
check will be cut if a refund is due.
- Caregiver
pre-requisites. No college degrees are required.
18 yrs old, health clearance, background check, GED or H.S. Diploma.
Recruits are giving on the job training.
Completion of 13 modules is required over 18 months for entry level.
Higher levels have program tailored to the training needed. After initial
training continuing education is required and offered.
- CDC
painting. The Project Manager stated that the work will be done after
hours. There is no date on completion, but anticipate 4 weeks.
- Building
693. It was built in 1875 and was originally a school for enlisted
soldiers. The upgrade project was funded on 23 Dec 2004 and is a 395
day contract duration. The
contractor is Nellam. The CYS program will move in here when
done.
- CYS.
CYS has acquired a 24 seat bus. Tara
is leaving on 1/19/05. There is
a list out for this position. Brian
Seely is the new sport director. 80
children exhibited work at the art festival last week.
- Kim
Tague. Summer camp is starting up.
Enrollment open to current patrons in Feb 05 and 1 March 2005 for
others. Camp
runs for nine weeks starting on 13 June 05 ending mid August 05.
- 30
April 05 – Month of the military child luncheon from 11am to 2 pm.
Tickets sold in both buildings.
- 10
Feb 05 – next PAG meeting at noon in building 1207, CDC.
