PAG Meeting Minutes

17 February 2005

Attendees: Kay Roche, Julie Vanderberg, Jen Butkus, Gene Wright, Greta Bucher, Erika Keutmann, Jill Baumann, Kathleen Ahearn, Don Hulst, Kim Tague, Mary King, Jodi Filippone, Tatiana Jackson, and Patty Catello.

Old Business:

  1. Parent Surveys – A lot of responses came in already.  Almost a 100% of part dart preschool were received.

 

  1. NAEYC – Observation ongoing, employee questionnaires completed. Need to go over scores and mail by 11 March 2005 for advice. Final rating to be mailed by 30 March 2005 .

 

  1. Painting – Continues, some rooms are completed and pictures are going back up.  Completion anticipated by the end of the month. Ceiling tile replacement pending.

 

  1. Modification to Daily Activity Reports – Requested that a line be added in for potty training.

 

New Business:

  1. Gifts for providers come under the same ethic issues as rest of army.  Ethics training was provided to care givers. Current maximum gift valve is $25 per caregiver per event with a yearly cap at $60.  Group parties are exempt from this.

 

  1. The display showing the potluck night will be changed out to show picture of Room 135 for the month of March and 133 for the month of April.

 

  1. It’s spring clean up (mulch turnover) time again. Jennifer Butkus to find out about supplies from DHPW .  Tentative date was set for 13 April 2005 for 1130 hour to 1300 hours.  A tree to be planted by Bob Jones is also scheduled that day at 1500 hours.

 

  1. Summer Camp – Current patrons registration ongoing.  On 7 March 2005 at 630 hours registration will open to rest of post. Registration closes on 18 March 2005 .  Confirmation of slot will be given by the end of the month.  50% will be due at signing of contract with Tara .

 

  1. Registration fee for part day is $50.

 

  1. April is the month of the military child.  30 April 2005 from 1100 to 1400 hours there will an outing at the ski slope.  Cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children and includes all events. 

 

  1. Bldg 693 was awarded to Neelam Construction at a cost of $3M will hold 75 children and be completed in May 2006.

 

  1. Staff development day is tomorrow 18 February 2005 .  CDC will be closed to all patrons.

 

  1. The next PAG meeting is 10 March 2005 at 1200 hours at the CDC.
