On March 13th 1996 a 43 year old man named Thomas Hamilton stormed into a primary school in Dunblane, Scotland armed with 4 guns. He went into the gymnasium where 29 children aged between 5 & 6 were playing and shot 16 of them and a teacher dead. Another teacher and a dozen more children were wounded. He then turned the gun on himself.
Hamilton was well-known as a gun collector and a Scout master who liked to teach boys with their shirts off and photograph them.
He was nicknamed Mr Creepy by the boys in Dunblane and his fixation with them got him dropped by the Boy Scouts.
Why was he not reported earlier for his fixation with boys? Why was his perversion allowed to continue until many children died? |
