Sydney Cooke was one of the most evil paedeophiles in British History and had a huge paedeophile ring, they kidnapped children, mostly boys and raped them again and again and eventually killed them. It is believed about 20 youngsters fell prey to this gang. Operation Orchid was the name of the police investigation up to the capture of some of the men.
Two of the members were named Robert Oliver and Lennie Smith.

Although Sydney Cooke was a serial sex offender, he was repeatedly released from terms of prison which led to the death of Jason Swift and others.
He was given police protection while free to stop others attacking him for his hideous past. He even admitted to police he was likely to reoffend if released from prison!!
If the Judges had locked him up when he was first sex offending, deaths may have been prevented and many children would not have been sexually abused by his gang.
