Born in Utah in 1951 Bishop grew up to be a seemingly devout mormon. In 1974 he was kicked out of the mormon church after some trouble. In 1981 he was arrested for stealing money from a car dealer that employed him. He disappeared soon after using aliases and severing past ties.
He was arrested in July 1983 for embezzling another employer. A search of Bishop's home revealed photographs of children that were sexual in nature.
Police soon realised some of these children were missing.
He quickly cracked and confessed to killing five of them, some aged between 4 & 6 years. Bishop helped police find their small bodies in shallow graves.
Tried and convicted of five killings of children he was killed by lethal injection on June 10th 1988. |
