Good Shepherd is a parish of the Holy Eastern Orthodox Church of the United States. The Anglican Usage of the Western Rite is observed for liturgical purposes.
The parish was established in 1980 as a mission station. A building was acquired in 1988 on Lorrain Street. In 1998, the parish moved to 116 Luck Avenue and remained there until a fire forced the parish to relocate to the present address in the spring of 2001.
Our Rector was ordained in 2007 by our beloved Bishop Antony in Residence in Zanesville, Ohio.
Bishop Antony has served various missions in Ohio and was Rector of Holy Cross in Belle Valley from 1990 to 1992. Bishop Antony was the Chancellor of the Archdiocese and Father Guardian of the Society of the Holy Cross in addition to his duties as Rector of our parish from 1992 to 2005, when he was consecrated Bishop.
