| 2. Finding Nemo* - Oscar Watch I loved this film, and it's one of my favorite movies of all time. I would love it if it was nominated for best picture overall. It will certainly win best animated feature. This was just a well thought out, well scripted, wonderful movie that kids and adults laughed at. I saw it at least 3 times at the theatres, and I cannot wait to get it on DVD. This movie deserves high honors this year. |

| 5. Mona Lisa Smile Very good movie. An excellent script about what it means to grow up in America as woman, especially in the 1950s. Smart film with good acting, despite what some critics say. One of the better films this year. Worth at least renting. |
| 3. X-Men 2 The X-Men movies are some of my favorites anyway, and this second installment didn't disappoint. I can hardly wait for the third one to come out. I almost forgot this one came out this year, because it was overshadowed by Nemo. But it still deserves applause. |

| 1. LOTR: The Return of the King* - Oscar Watch What a wonderful film! Certainly one of the best. I was very impressed with this one, and if it doesn't win Best Picture at the Oscars, I will be very upset. The ending of the film might lose the Oscar for it, but the way it ended was necessary, though long. Everything else that happens in the movie should make up for it. |
| 4. Big Fish* - Oscar Watch This movie did come out of nowhere for me. A great surprise, and one that should be in contention at the Oscars this year. The movie is full of symbolism about life, and what it means to live it to the fullest. |
