After the project had been completed, students reflected on the what they had learned.  These are highlights from what they wrote.
Miranda-  "I think what was most interesting is that we got to learn a lot about our state's weather history.  We also got to use a lot of technology so I learned a lot about computers while we were doing this project!"
Austin-  "I thought the most interesting thing about our project was the cool facts.  I mean very weird things happened.  Take the Ft. Worth hail storm for example, left 6 inch craters in the ground.  It said the hail came down at 80 m.p.h."
Taylor-  "I thought that the research was most interesting because I learned a lot that I didn't know.  Also, I like the way we changed everything we learned into a web page."
Cameron-  "Doing Netscape Composer with Dalton and Connor was the most interesting thing about our project."
Dylan-  "The thing I found most interesting was the swamp coolers and how they work.  The swamp coolers are really weird working."
Kaleigh D-  "I found the webquest most interesting.  I found lots of interesting facts.  The making of my web page was the most fun.  I also learned a lot."
James-  "The thing that I found most interesting is that we came together and worked without quitting on each other and this project"
Kenyan-  ""I think that it was cool when we e-mailed our Subject Matter Expert, Rebecca Miller."
Randy-  "My most favorite part was the whole thing."
Kaleigh H.  "Researching, I think was the best part of doing this project.  You got to surf through web pages to find what we were looking for."
Jessica-  "  This experience has taught me all kinds of new things such as:  Netscape Composer, but most of all working as a team when you are with another person, but your working on the same thing, you really have to work together."
Jarred-  "I liked doing research on the Galveston Storm.  I thought it was really cool.  There were lots of good web sites on the Internet."
Dalton-  "What I found most interesting was the hail damage information I found on the Internet.  It said that a hailstorm shattered windows on different cars.  It would break the skin if it hit you."
Evan-  "What I found most interesting about this project is getting to do so many technology related things."
Liz-  "I found a lot of interesting stuff doing web pages on the different regions and some major cities in those regions.  I found out many attractions of Texas, major events, and many many more things.  I'm just thankful for Mrs. Padgett's good ideas and support, because without that, I wouldn't be (having fun) doing this project!"
Catie-  "What I found most interesting about this project was sending and receiving e-mails."
Connor-  "Spending time searching the Internet. Learning interesting things on the way."
