Hello,
First of all I would like to apologize for
being so slow in responding.
Next I would like to say I like both of your
names! And the last thing I
would like to say before I answer your
questions is that you have a
wonderful as well as beautiful teacher!!
Now, my favorite season of the year is
fall. The weather is cool but not
too cool.
The leaves on the trees are beginning to turn beautiful colors of
orange, rust, and brown and there's usually
a nice breeze outside that just
makes you feel good. The squirrels are scurrying around hiding
nuts in the
ground for the winter months. You can almost begin to wear warm
clothes. I
especially like this because I am able to
conceal my weight!!!! Once all
the leaves on the trees begin to fall, you
know that winter will be
approaching soon. It just makes me feel good.
The major event that is very recent in my
mind was Christmas to New Years
2000.
I live in Texarkana, Texas, and we had a tremendous ice storm. The
trees were covered with ice. It was beautiful but devastating to the
community.
Some homes were without electricity for more than a month. The
temperature was below freezing and several
elderly couples came to Wadley
Hospital to stay because they had no were
else to go. I was fortunate
because I was able to stay at the
hospital. I was sad for so many people
who were without water or electricity. There was also no phone service for
many people. This event increased my awareness of how we take for granted
so many things. Water, heat, electricity, lights, food, flushing the
commode, are just a few of the things that
come to mind.
I hope this information is useful to you.
