Hi Evan and Riza,

To answer your first question, I think I like summer the best. I love

going camping and swimming. It is very hot and humid here in Houston and a

lot of the people that live here don't like it much, but I do. I know it

gets very hot in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area too, but the humidity here makes

it feel so much hotter than it really is.

When we had the flood here it was very scary. We were very lucky and our

house did not flood, but we have a lot of friends that were flooded out of

their homes. A good friend of ours had over 13 inches of water in their

house. It was very scary for them. They had their elderly mother living with

them and they all had to move up into the attic to get out of the water. It

was dangerous because the electric plugs were under water and they were

afraid of being shocked. It ruined EVERYTHING in their home. They had to

totally redo the whole house. They stayed with us for a while and also had

to stay in motels and with other friends while their house was being redone.

It is very had to describe to you in writing, we were very afraid. When I

looked out my window across the street to my neighbors house I couldn't even

see their car sitting in the driveway. It was covered with water. When the

rain finally stopped and we went outside into our street, the water was over

my waist and I am 5'7" tall.

Like I told you before, we were very lucky. There were so many people here

that lost everything. It was so amazing sitting here watching the news and

seeing semi  trucks floating down the road. You couldn't even tell that they

were on a road, everything just looked like a big lake. All the big

hospitals in downtown Houston had to be closed and all the patients taken to

other hospitals.

It was very amazing also how all the people here pulled together to help

eachother. It was a very scary time for everyone here.

I hope these answers will help you with your project, and if there is

anything else I can help you with please feel free to e-mail me again.

Thanks,

Tammy
