1. My favorite season would have to be Early Summer (June).  The weather during

that season is hot and dry for the most part, with an occational rain later in

the summer (August).  Temperatures are in the upper 90s to lower 100s during

the summer.  We have little humidity in El Paso and use swamp coolers for

airconditioning.  I like the early summer season because everything is in bloom

and the smell of the desert after a light rain is wonderful.

 

2.  El Paso doesn't really have major weather events other than high winds and

an occational flash flood.  But the most significant wind storm we have had

recently would be April 6, 2001 where the wind gusts ranged from 65 to 75 miles

per hour.  A record of 84 mph winds occurred on March 10, 1977.
