Rewriting Experience

Occasionally I check or completely rewrite documents for doctors, scientists, engineers and graduate students. Most are research papers.


Civil Engineering Experience

Several years in the UK (1 year in Australia as a student) on major contracts. Roads, bridges, ports, large offices, industrial buildings and the only PWR nuclear power station in the UK. Positions from assistant engineer to site manager and quality assurance engineer.


Computer Experience

Design of patient database tracking system for the Dept. of Anaesthesia, Middlesex Hospital, London as part of my M.Sc. course. Also programming in Pascal, Unix, C and Fortran. Experience in website design including frames and forms. Programming for formatting and inputting submitted forms into databases.

Languages

Japanese Proficiency Test, level 3 (1996). Will take level 2 next year.

Interests and Activities

Many sports and outdoor activities: Badminton (state level & university team; UK champions), squash (A-grade), soccer, aerobics, snow-blade, rock climbing, hiking, camping, scuba diving (advanced diver-80), mountain bike. Also salsa, merengue, handcrafts, theatre (London), my computer and travelling.
