Diese Arbeit wurde im Januar 2002 als Magisterarbeit im Fachgebiet Anglistik (Literaturwissenschaft) an der Uni Marburg / Lahn (FB 10) vorgelegt. Sie beschäftigt sich mit den folgenden Werken: James Joyces "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" (1916) und Frank McCourts "Angela's Ashes" (1996, dt. "Die Asche meiner Mutter"). Sie beschäftigt sich in erster Linie mit diesen Themen:
