        Search for Ginoong Padada was held on the 25th. 10 candidates from different municipalities and as
        far as Davao City vied for the title. Unfortunately, the title went to Mr. Jonathan Esquerra of Davao City.
        The said event was sponsored by the Padada Gay Association.

        Aside from the cultural presentation, the Batch ‘91 of St. Michael is sponsoring a disco at the ABC gym
        26 Sept 99 with a DJ from ABS-CBN FM-Davao.

        A Blow by blow night on the 27th, sponsored by Almendras District with the main contenders from Davao City
        and Kidapawan. A local contender in the person of Mr. Virgo Jabon will also be showing his punches.

        There will be a parade in the morning on the fiesta proper followed by a ground demonstration at the
        St. Michael’s school ground.

        Groovy nights is on the evening of the 29th. A grand disco sponsored by the RIC ladies. This is going to
        be the mother of all discos.

        The usual carnival fair has now enliven Padada’s nightscape but sorry we don’t have the Marvic Show of
        the old anymore. Rizal street is now teemed with “bulanteros” and the “baratillos” selling their stuffs
        and of course the cheap “ukay-ukay” can not be left out.
