Summer Fun Dive was finally held on the 29^th of April 2001 from the supposed schedule on the 22^nd to give way for the earth day activity.

Six guest divers from Davao City participated headed by the top honcho of Prodive and the president of SCUDDA ... Mr. Dennis K. Tan together with Alex Lim, PJ Carriedo, Ted Garcia, Edwin Mandi and V de Ocampo of BFAR lX., Capt. Alexis Bravo of the 402^nd infantry brigade, Lanao, also came over for the activity. Also joined in are divers from Padada... Czaldy Garrote and Aloy Bravo.

At 10 o’clock, everyone were all set and geared up for a wreck dive along Malalag bay. Though the visiblity was not so good, it did not dampen the spirit as flashlights came in handy.

The torquoise water and the long streched white sandy beach of Colagsing made a perfect place to satisfy one’s whetted appetite over the sumptous lunch prepared by Manding and Beth Mayor. Everyone had a great time feasting.

Second dive was on a reef along Colagsing point and navigated with the slight current. Destruction from dynamite fishing is evident at 30 ft but as one descends futher, an array of healthy coral species and fishes abound.

The low tide of Piape beach caught us on the way back, got to walk 300 meters on some muddy bed to get aground. Mayor Benjamin Saragena dropped by to see and chatted with the guys before everyone left for the city.

Kudos to Mr. Boy Pellerin, Mr. Salvador Gevera, Jinky Bersabe, Edsel Salado, Dado Espiritu, Dimple Bravo, Frashale, Tsanot, Kristin, Jig and the carmelo boys.... Thanks for your support.
