The
strength and success of educational institutions is determined
largely by a coherent institutional culture and vision in the
context of a dynamic social environment. Thus, educational
requires unique competencies in strategic planning of academic
and non-academic programs in support of the institution's
vision and mission. This seminar aims to enhance
leadership skills of education executives in educational

- The
Education Manager as Chief Information Technology Officer
|
September
5-6, 2002
(Thursday/Friday) |
Manila |
This
seminar discusses what probably is the single most defining
event in management in the 1990s: the emergence of information
technology (IT) as a major competitive factor. Managers today,
regardless of industry, must be able to fully grasp the
implication of technology as means of providing better products
and services. This is perhaps more evident in education,
where IT holds promise for improving classroom and learning
activities and support operations (e.g. administration,
registration, accounting).
|
- Plant
and Property Management
|
October
10-11, 2002
(Thursday/Friday) |
Cebu |
This seminar focuses on providing the educational manager with
the core competence needed in overseeing and/or understanding
his/her plant and maintenance director at more technical
level. The educational manager today cannot simply rely
fully on the engineer's judgment. He/she needs to know
when "enough is enough", and what key items to look
for when overseeing the engineer who, in turn, manages the
construction of the school building.
|

educational managers can create formal or informal networks to
develop strategic alliances, joint ventures and partnerships as
methods of improving their educational services.
