Hail- known as the weather rune this covers challenges or uncontrolled forces both inner and outer.
not reversable- Limitations; delays; interference from sources out side one�s control; disruption by natural events; do not fight against fate.
(2b) Naudhiz/ Nyd/ Nuaths, Nauthiz, Nied
Need- this isn�t needy as such, it is pointing out that the things you need you probably already have they only have to be worked at.
Upright- patience; a difficult time period; ill health; needs opposed to wants.
Reversed- misguided or inappropriate actions; think twice; be sure to write some wrong that has been done.
(2c) Isa/ Is/ Eis, Iss
Ice- a period of inaction, reaching a standstill or emotional cooling.
not reversable- Hold tight; wait; a cooling of emotions; delays; breach of loyalty
(2f) Pertho/ Peorth/ Pairthra
Dice cup- the cups were often used for divination and gambling that is why this is seen as fate. It urges you to make your own choices and take charge of your own destiny.
Upright- a fortunate omen; disclosure of a secret; unexpected gains; sexual compatibility; illness that is unresponsive to normal treatments; strong intuitive or occult ability.
Reversed- disappointment; financial losses; disappointment in love; unwise experimentation with the occult.

Harvest (year)- here we see the reaping of rewards for past efforts. It can be seen as the end of something and the start of something new.

(2e) Eihwaz/ Eoh/ Eihwas, Iwaz
Yew- the yew tree is an ancient wisdom keeper and the gateway to the other world.  Because of this it is known as the shaman rune. (Representing the ability of the shaman to control/ mould the unshaped energy of the other world) standing for motivation and transformation.
not reversable- Protection; sights set on a reasonable target; delays could prove to be of benefit; caution and right thinking can help to avoid problems.

Elk- the rune said to be a pictorial representation of an elk with its massive antlers is seen as the protection rune.
Upright- friendship; relationship based on trust; protection; a willing sacrifice.
Reversed- vulnerability; deception; an offer to be refused; becoming a scapegoat.
(2h) Sowilo/ Sigil/ Saugil, Sol, Sowelo, Sigel
Sun- the sun with its life-giving light and warmth can be seen as the life force. It�s meaning is good fortune, health and happiness.
not reversable- Victory; success; need for rest; strong power of recuperation.
