| Invocation, circle casting and dispersing Open I call upon the spirit of the east to give me wisdom. I call upon the spirit of the south to give me strength. I call upon the spirit of the west to give me compassion. I call upon the spirit of the north to give me stability. I call upon the spirit itself to guide these elements to form this circle. (visualize the elements forming the circle) (as each elemental is called upon visualize it taking its place at your circle) Invocation of the god�s I call upon the goddess to give me insight for the task at hand. I call upon the god to give me energy to see it though. (if you wish to call forth a special god or goddess think of something that the god or goddess is known for.) I call upon Mercury to give me guidance to do what should be done. I call upon Hestia to protect this sacred place (as with the elementals visualize the god's with in your circle) Ritual (for every circle cast you should have a goal in mind such as) (meditation, sabbat or esbats rituals, speaking to the divine, spells, ext) Dispersing and closing I thank the god�s for blessing this task as they go from this place. I call upon the spirit once more to release the elements as I give thanks to them as they close this circle. |
| set up Before casting a circle you should take time to clean and set up your alter. Placing symbols around your circle for each of the elementals/ guardians/ watchtowers. Take a bath or shower to relax the body and mind. (I know things are not always right for this. I have kids, master of the five minute ritual, from start to end.) This is a big one. Ask your self why you are here at this time? Are your goals field with peace and love. safety At this time you should also make sure you have thought safety. No items or lose cloth on or around your alter that might start fire or cause you to trip. (some witches like to dance and sing.) (We don�t need candle wax on the tip of the nose now do we.) I myself look at it this way I would feel much more relaxed knowing my house work is done and have you ever measured out a circle. 3 foot - your not dancing in there 6 foot - now were talking some leg room 9 foot thank the god�s we have space. (Well soon as we move all that stuff out of the room anyway.) A circle does take up a lot of space so when your trying to move in that three foot circles try not to step on the cat or hurt yourself. |
| O ya and the five minute ritual was to calm myself so my kids would live to see the next sabbat. Time out works for parents to. The five minute ritual To begin with go into a room with a door or outside away from everyone. Sit or lay down Close your eyes Chant three times "goddess of wisdom why me?, god of light why me?" Meditate on it for four minutes Then remember that there only children and you do love them. Go back out and kiss and hug each of them. (and remember this. If there over ten they realy wish you wouldn�t.) Hay at that age there karma should be working just fine. I hated it when my mom kisses me. Gross!!!!!! |
