| The Meridian Police Department would like to remind citizens to turn off their vehicles and be sure to take their keys with them when leaving vehicles unattended. Meridian Police have taken several stolen vehicle reports over the last two (2) weeks of February, 2005. All of the stolen vehicles were left running with the key in them, while the owner was away from their vehicle. Leaving your vehicle running in the driveway to warm up while getting ready for work or while you drop your child off at daycare is creating an easy opportunity for criminals to steal your vehicle with very little effort. Anybody with any information regarding any of these vehicle thefts or wishing to report any suspicious activity are asked to call the Meridian Police Department at 888-6678. |
