Pack 408 BSA uniform specifications

 

Class A Uniform

The official dress uniform is commonly referred to as the 'Class A' uniform. We also have an activity uniform, referred to as 'Class B' which is a t-shirt customized for our Pack.

 

Below is a checklist for the Class A Uniform.  Bring this checklist to the Scout shop, and they'll help outfit you in your first complete uniform.  Check with the Adult Leaders for the Class B Uniform.

 

TIGER CUBS/CUB SCOUTS

ü        Shirt - long or short sleeve

ü        Neckerchief – Tiger / Wolf / Bear

ü        Neckerchief Slide

ü        World Crest Emblem

ü        Council Shoulder Patch

ü        Den Numeral Strip (Check with the Adult Leaders for the corresponding den number)

ü        Cub Scout Web Belt w/ Buckle

WEBELOS

ü        Shirt – long or short sleeve

ü        Webelos Neckerchief

NOTE: We recommend short-sleeve shirt and long trousers.  Long trousers provide protection for mosquitoes, ticks and poison oaks that are very common in California campground.  If you prefer shorts, we ask that the scout wear scout knee-high socks.   Scouts can wear turtleneck shirt inside their BSA uniform in chilly days. For Tiger Cub, Wolf Scout & Bear Scout, navy blue trousers/shorts are required.  The Pack does not require specific style of trousers/shorts, however.   Webelos Scouts have the option of wearing either the Blue Cub Scout or Olive & Khaki Boy Scout uniform.  Traditionally, our Webelos wear Olive & Khaki Boy Scout uniform with blue belt.  Items like cap & socks are optional.

Pack 408 Adult Leader Uniform

Any pack parent (with or without a position in the Pack) can wear BSA uniform.  However, it needs to be “complete” with the similar specifications as WEBELOS. Our pack will provide you with the unit numeral and nametag.  Please consult your Pack leaders for details.
