Pack 99 was started in 1952, and our Charter Organization is the
Hilton Fire Department.
Pack 99 is part of the Lighthouse District of the
Otetiana Council.
The role of the Chartered Organization varies from pack to pack.
The Hilton Fire Department provides us a place to meet for some of our pack meetings,
our committee meetings, as well as a place for other activities.
The pack consists of several dens - Tiger Cubs (1st graders), Wolf Cubs (2nd graders), Bear Cubs (3rd graders), and 1st and 2nd year Webelos (4th and 5th graders). The pack includes not only the boys in those dens, but their families and leaders as well. The pack meets once a month, with Cub Scouts, leaders, parents, and other family members attending. The pack meeting is the climax of the month's den meetings and activities. It gives the dens something to look forward to and work toward. This is a chance to recognize the boys, their parents, and their leaders. In addition to its regular meetings, the pack sponsors certain special events and projects. These include community projects (e.g. - Scouting for Food drive), outdoor activities (e.g. - Cub-Parent Weekend camping), fund raising activities (e.g. - popcorn sale), and fun competitions (e.g. - Pinewood Derby). |
