On February 3, 2008, we held our annual Blue & Gold banquet.
Our distinguished guests included Mayor Gursslin, Jim Kunkel (unit commissioner),
David Azzario (Friends of Scouting), Shannon Davis (Lighthouse District commissioner),
Dan Rockafellow (Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 18),
and Ron Hathaway (Scoutmaster for Troop 324).
After food was served, the dens presented some skits. Den 2 started with a puppet show, first present a skit regarding the dangers of smoking, then they had a puppet band perform the Blues Brothers' classic, "Soul Man". Next, Den 4 presented the French Restaurant skit, with the Scoutmasters as the target of the joke. Den 3 did a camping skit. Part of Den 4 did a skit about workers. Den 1 did a skit on water conservation. Den 2 did a skit regarding a lost lollilop. Den 3 did a demonstration of the Cub Scout emergency broadcast system. Other members of Den 4 did a skit on camp cooking. The members of Den 4 had their Arrow of Light ceremony, followed by the Crossing Over ceremony in which they entered either Boy Scout Troop 125 in Hilton or Boy Scout Troop 324 in Hamlin. |
