- Recharter papers have been submitted
- Still pursuing a couple of cub scout families for their recharter
fees

| Pinewood Derby (Roland

- Good reviews for this year's Derby despite the equipment failure
and the need to revert to a manual points procedure
- Need to approach Faith United Methodist Church re scheduling the
event for next year (also for Blue & Gold)
- Sacred Heart staff appreciative of our efforts to clean up the
gymnasium and kitchen
- Laser equipment failure occurred midway through the Derby.
- Laser will be returned to the vendor for repair or replacement (2
year warranty)
- Recommendation to share diner preparation work with a larger
group of people
- Recommendation to add additional padding to the finish line area
of the track to protect the cars

- Motion to terminate the magazine drive and recommend cub scout
families to use the recycle bin at the school...motion carried

| Arrow of Light (Sara) |
- Keith Hammons is the main contact
- Approval received from Carl Baumgartner to use their property for
the Arrow of Light
- Discussed making next year's AOL date earlier to get the
graduating cub scouts into Boy Scouts earlier
- Suggestion to bring canopies to this year's AOL/Campout
- March 27 is primary date, April 3 is the backup date for this
year's AOL

- Scheduled date is May 22
- Suggestions: Zoo sleepover, skating, picnic, pool party
- Motion to have a picnic for the May activity....carried
- Cindy Garza to reserve Pitts Park
- Recommended time for the event: 12-4 PM

| Cub Scout Fair (Sara) |
- Scheduled for April 24
- Recommendation to add request for volunteers to the pack web site
- Need ideas for the booth
- Problem in past years with people showing up to manage the booth
- Need individual time slots with specific people assigned to each
time slot
- Vince to coordinate overall event

| Pack 880 Pinewood Derby Track

- Reece Nagai requested Pack 1680 to donate the old Pack 880
Pinewood Derby to the Urban Scouting organization at the Jackson
Elementary school
- Jim Barnfield is one of the people involved with this organization
- Motion to donate track to this organization....carried

Blue & Gold (Sara)
|
- Swinging Door booked for this event on Feb 28 (4:30 - 7:00 PM)
- Swing Door holds up to 275 people
- Pack 1680 not responsible for setting up or taking down
tables/chair
- Cost is $5 per person.
- Money is due by Feb 19
- All cub scouts will receive a Blue & Gold patch
- Theme for Blue & Gold is Fiesta
- Kent McAllister agreed to create a slideshow for the event
- Feb 19 is the deadline for submitting pictures (preferably
digital) to Kent

- Need to help new Tiger Den Leaders get started after Rally Night
- Recommend parent orientation meeting to help new Tiger Den Leaders
- Also recommend assigning a current Den Leader as a mentor to each
new Tiger Den Leader

- Sara announced her plans to resign as Committee Chair as soon as
that position can be filled
- Sara agreed to continue her duties until a replacement is found
and will help to train this person
- Need replacements for the following positions:
Committee Chair
Assistant Cubmaster
Webmaster
Training Coordinator
- Requested all current Den Leaders to approach appropriate people
as replacements
