Treasurer's Report
Roger Ansted presented the expenditures and budget status report. In general, we are over spending our budgeted amounts but for very good reasons. There are two donations expected from BP-Amoco through their Matching Fund Programs available to employee Tom Cox and retiree Than Colvin. These funds are planned for use in building our $1,000 treasury cushion and designate money for a sound system. Remaining donation funds will be used to supplement the general budget.

Community Volunteer programs are available in many corporations. Please ask the parents of scouts in your Den to check with their employer and find out if we can get some donations from their volunteering to help in scouting.

Open Positions
The most critical position to be filled now is that of Treasurer. Roger is currently holding 3 jobs for our Pack and needs to be relieved of this function before his scout graduates in the Arrow of Light ceremony and joins a Boy Scout Troop.

Other open positions will be emphasized during the next few Pack Nights so we can get leaders in place before the summer break in den meetings. Some of these are Assistant Cubmaster, Assistant Pack Committee Chairperson, Secretary, and Assistant Treasurer.

Pack Charter Renewal
Our recharter was completed for 46 scouts and 19 adult leaders. Again this year, we qualified for the "Quality Unit" award.

Carolyn Schneider updated our Pack Roster from the recharter information. She delivered a copy to each Den represented at tonight's meeting. If you did not get one, please contact Carolyn. Please review the roster and add E:Mail addresses, work telephone numbers, etc. and any corrections you see. Hopefully, we can develop a complete Pack E:Mail address system to aid in relaying infomation.

Popcorn Sales
The initial meeting in Tomahawk District will be held on February 19th. The location is still to be confirmed but this will be the time we collect the sales sheets for each scout and start our program. During the last few years, we have been blessed with an excellent volunteer Popcorn Chairperson. This volunteer will be moving into Boy Scouts during this popcorn sales and delivery period.

We need a popcorn representative for each Den and someone to coordinate this fund raising project for the total Pack. One possible Pack representative was mentioned tonight but we cannot say the position is filled until the individual is consulted and asked to volunteer. Please obtain a Den rep for your den and let me know if you have any volunteers to handle the Pack responsibilities.

Blue and Gold Banquet
Sufficient information has been distributed to Den Leaders and parents about this celebration. The ceremonies will begin at 3:30 PM on Saturday, February 16, 2002, in the sanctuary of Faith United Methodist Church. The banquet will conclude in the Family Life Gym at about 6:30 PM.

Cubmaster Reece Nagai will be contacting Den Leaders to assign parts in the Leader's Skit.

Arrow of Light Ceremony
This is scheduled to occur on March 23, 2002, at Baumgartner's Pond on Bar Road. Roger Ansted has made contacts / reservations and will continue to coordinate efforts of the various parties performing duties at this ceremony. Further details will be supplied later.

Family Campout
Den 5 is taking the lead in planning this campout and coordinating with Den 12. The campout follows the Arrow of Light Ceremony at Baumgartner's Pond. Details will be supplied later.

Scout Sunday, February 10, 2002
The 9:35 service is assigned to Pack 880. Scouts should be in full uniform and arrive 15 minutes early to assist in handing out programs, ushering and anything else needed. If some families normally attend the 8:30 service, please come in uniform and assist at that time. Boy Scout Troop 1880 will provide these services at the 11:00 AM service. If you normally attend at that time, please join the Boy Scouts in performing services.

Scout Parade on Saturday, February 23, 2002
This date has been scheduled but we do not have confirmation of details. If one of you has been contacted or has details, please share them with the rest of us.

Faith United Methodist Church Mission Sunday
On February 24, information booths will be set up for each of the missions sponsored  by FUMC. Scouting is one of those missions and we plan to have a display. Roger Ansted has volunteered to set up and be at the table to answer questions. If anyone wishes to assist or to loan scout scrap books, handicraft items, etc., please contact Roger.

Announcement
Reece Nagai says there is still time for any Parent volunteer to work at Kohl's Department Store and raise money for the Pack. These funds are being designated for a Pack sound system. Please contact Reece if there are other workers.

The next Pack Parent's Meeting will be at 7:00 PM Tuesday, March 5, 2002. Please plan to attend and bring other members of you Den.

Than Colvin
Acting Secretary, Temporary
