"Follow the Bobcat Trail"
    All boys entering the Cub Scout, no matter what age, will need to earn a Bobcat badge. This is done by completing 8 tasks.
     1. Learn and say the Cub Scout Promise.
          I,__________, promise to do my best, To do my duty to God and my country, To help other people, and To obey the Law of the pack.
     2. Say the Law of the Pack. Tell what it means.
          The Cub Scout follows Akela.
          The Cub Scout helps the pack go.
          The pack helps the Cub Scout grow.
          The Cub Scout gives goodwill.
     3. Tell what Webelos means.

   4. Show the Cub Scout sign. Tell what it means.
                                 
The two fingers stand for two parts of the Promise--"to help pther people" and "to obey." They look like a wolf's ears ready to listen to Akela.
    5. Show the Cub Scout handshake. Tell what it means.
           This means that you obey th Law of the Pack




    6. Say the Cub Scout Motto.
         
"Do Your Best"
        It means
         When you play a game, do your best to help your team.
         When you study in school, do your best to learn from your teacher.
         When you help at home, do your best to help your family.
               Whatever you do, do your best!
     7. Give the Cub Scout salute. Tell what it means.
            A salute is a way to show respect. We salute the flag to show respect to our country.
