WeBeLoS Troop Visits
WeBeLoS II will be crossing over in February .  Troop visits need to be completed by the boy if he plans on crossing over to a troop.  It is a good idea for him to visit more than one to get exposed to different leadership styles.  If you have a Den Chief, your den should visit his troop and the Den Chief should make an effort to explain to the boys what is going on during this meeting.  This way, the boys will feel comfortable.  Be sure to include the parents with these visits.  If scouts want, they can also visit other troops that they know of on their own.

Here are the 3 troops in town:

Troop 45, Scoutmaster: Don Hastie.  Meeting night: Tuesdays 7:30 - 9:00 PM  St. Pauls Episcopal Church, Main Street.

Troop 17, Scoutmaster:  Tom Pozele  Meeting night: Tuesdays 7:00 - 8:30 PM  First Baptist Church, Corner of East St. and Meriden Ave.

Troop 32, Scoutmaster: Dave Charnick   Meeting night?           First Congragtional Church, Main St. across from the Green, sponsored by the Lions Club.

Please call Vince Sumpter or Mark Adams for phone numbers and other additional information.

Please make sure that you do offer these to your boys and remember that Arrow of Light requirements call for a Boy Scout Troop visit, an interview with the Scoutmaster, Day activities with a Boy Scout Troop, and a WeBeLoS overnight.  You can kill 2 birds with one stone, so to speak, if your boys attend the Fall Camporee,
