Committee Meeting Minutes

Annual Planning Meeting

Mon. Aug. 6th, 2007

 

CALL TO ORDER - 6:05pm

 

IN ATTENDANCE:

 

Leanne Granus, Nancy Harper, Amy Good, Lisa Ogurcak, Deb Goodman, John Goodman, Maria Palumbo, Joyce Miller, Ellen Phillips, Kate Huber, Shaun Shillady

 

OLD BUSINESS

Swim Party at Womelsdorf Pool -Sat. Aug 11th from 1-4pm. BYOF. 27 people are signed up.

 

NEW BUSINESS

·         Trails End Popcorn Sale. 2nd sale begins on Nov. 15th.

·         Nancy & Ellen will chair. An idea was brought up about selling popcorn during Trinity?s Coffee hour on Sunday mornings.

·         Fall Program Kickoff & Scout School Night training is on Thur.

·         Aug. 23rd at Caccoosing Park. Pre- registration is required.

·         Wernersville Fair. Sep 7th & 8th. Nancy will contact authorities for more info. She will also ask about the possibility of selling Wixon Shoo Fly Pies as a scout fundraiser. Fair will benefit the Historical Society & Train Station Restoration. Scouts will be asked to run game stations in 2 hr time slots.

·         Scouting for Food will be on Sat. Nov. 10th. Kate will be chairperson.

·         Lehigh Valley Zoo Scout Program- Sat. Oct 13th from 10am -2pm. Zoo tours, nature hikes, & animal presentations.

·         All boys can earn advncmts, a pin & belt loop. Maria will chair.

·         Pinewood Derby- Corey Good & Brad Kerns might be interested in chairing this event. Tracey will be asked if interested in snack bar planning.

·         A possible overnight trip onboard Battleship New Jersey is being looked into by Lisa for early April.

·         Duncans Corn Maze- Nov 2nd. More info to follow from Lisa.

·         Wenersville Halloween parade Thurs. Oct. 25th. Robots are the theme decided upon for all Dens.

·         Rollerskating Party is being planned for Sun. Jan 20th.

·         Father/Son Bakeoff will be on Jan 14th. We would like to have more judges & more baking categories.

·         Memorial Day Parade- John Goodman will coordinate.

·         Motion was made to have an award ceremony each month.

·         Kate would like a list of boys awards by Sept 17th Pack meeting for the Oct awards Pack meeting.
