Committee Meeting Minutes

March 5th,2007

 

CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order - 7:03pm

 

In Attendance:  Sherry Weitzel,  John Goodman,  Deb Goodman, Gloria Troup, Tom Troup, Leanne  Granus,  Dwight Harding,  Joyce Miller, Maria Palumbo, ,Shaun Shillady, Ellen Phillips,  Mike Brown,  Joi Honer, & Kate Huber

 

REVIEW OF LAST MEETING’S MINUTES
Motion was made to approve last meeting minutes. Motion carried.

 

TREASURERS REPORT
Sherry Weitzel gave a copy of the current balance info to all present.
Shaun handed out list showing the boys’ current balances.

 

OLD BUSINESS
It was agreed that the Pinewood Derby went well due to many
people pitching in.  Special thanks to Tracey Thompson for snacks.

 

NEW BUSINESS
Blue & Gold -March 25th at CW Middle School at 3pm.  Gloria handed out a progress report to all present.  Den 4 Tigers have
opening/closing ceremonies.  Dinosaurs are the theme.

 

Armed Forces Day Parade-Sat. May 19th. More info to follow

 

Webelos Extended Camp-Aug. 15th-18th. Joyce will coordinate.
Day Camp-  July 9-13th.  Deb Goodman will coordinate.

 

Rechartering will take place next month.  The cost was approved for $65 per boy.  Motion was made to use the money in the boys account towards rechartering first.  Camp costs second.  Motion carried.  Shaun, Mike & Ellen will coordinate.

 

Motion was made & carried to reduce remaining  popcorn to ½ price.

John Goodman- Assistant Cubmaster
Nancy Harper  - Committee Chairperson

Existing Committee Members:
Sherry Wetzel -Treasurer
Ellen Phillips   -  Secretary
Lisa Ogurcak   -  Trip Coordinator

 

Shaun would like to have a Committee Training Session for all committee members at the next committee meeting on April 2nd.
Time to be announced.
All leaders & committee members should complete 2 training programs on Hawk Mtn Council website.  They are :  Youth Protection & Fast Track.
BALOO training at Hawk Mountain is April 14th from 9-5pm.

July  9th-13th -  Day Camp at Hawk Mtn
Aug.  4th    -  Pool Party (possibly at Robesonia or Womelsdorf pool)
Aug 6th   -   Committee Planning Meeting at Salvatores in Werns. 6pm
Aug. 15th-18th  Webelos Extended Camp
