Committee Meeting Minutes
JAN  8th,  2007

 

Meeting began at 7:05pm.

 

In Attendance:  Sherry Weitzel,  Janice Lamm,  Tom Troup, Lisa Ogurcak, Leanne Granus,  Mike Brown,  Shaun Shillday, Ellen Phillips

 

TREASURER”S REPORT
Shaun presented the treasurer’s report.  A copy of the report was given to all present.  Shaun handed over the treasurer duties and Pack PC to Sherry Weitzel.

 

NEW BUSINESS
The next Pack Meeting will be on Monday Jan 22nd at 6:30.  It will be a Father(Parent)/Scout Bakeoff.  Each pair will bake some type of cake or pie.  No brownies or cookies.  A copy of the recipe should be brought.  Shaun & Taryn Shillady will be judges.  Den 1 will present
opening/closing ceremonies.  Each den should prepare a skit or song.
Games will be played with the boys during judging.

 

Den Rotation for opening/closing ceremonies for future meetings:
Feb.-Pinewood Derby - Den 2
March - Blue & Gold Banquet -Den 4

 

Pinewood derby will be on Sat/Sun Feb 17th & 18th.  Warren Schreiner
will chair this event.    A committee will meet to plan.  Concern was
expressed over fairness and validity of the cars.  The rules & guidelines will be strictly addressed to the parents at the Pack meeting.  Shaun will give a “Friends of Scouting” presentation to the parents.  Ellen will set up a table to sell remaining popcorn.

 

Blue & Gold Banquet will be on Sunday March 25th at 3pm.  Gloria Troup & Joyce Miller are the chairpersons.  Each den should prepare a skit.  It was decided that the fee for the Den Leaders will be waived.  Forms & money are due at the Feb. pack meeting/Pinewood derby.
Den Leaders must give their list of advancements to Gloria no later
than March 18th.  Kate Huber has volunteered to take over the duties
of the advancement coordinator.
