Committee Meeting Minutes

Oct. 2, 2006

CALL TO ORDER

Meeting called to order - 7:10

In Attendance: Gloria Troup, Leanne Granus, Dwight Harding, Joyce Miller, Ellen Phillips, Mike Brown, Joi Honer

OLD BUSINESS

22 applications were handed in on Scout Night plus 1 adult volunteer form.

The overnight camping trip originally planned for Oct. will be considered for a spring or summer event.

NEW BUSINESS

Oct. 16^th is the next Pack Meeting. Each den is to prepare a song or skit. A game will be played. Each den should make 2 socks filled with sand.

The den rotation for opening flag ceremony is as follows:

Sept.- Den 2 Jan. - Den 1

Oct. - Den 3 Feb. - Den 2

Nov.- Den 5 Mar. - Den 3

Dec.- Den 7

There will be awards given at the Nov. Pack Meeting. Den Leaders

should get their list to Gloria by Oct. 31^st.

Rainwater Regatta was discussed as a possible future event on a pack meeting night. Each boy would build their own boat to race in a makeshift rain gutter.

Halloween Party & Parade is on Oct 26^th. The party starts at 5:30 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wernersville. Everyone should meet at the Worleys Lumber Lot by 7:15pm for the parade dressed in costume.

Duncans Corn Maze- Nov 4^th. Lisa O. will confirm this trip. Bring a flashlight.

Scouting for Food- Nov. 11^th at Shurfine. Webelos I & II are to help sort the cans of food. Bags will be handed out at the Oct. Pack meeting. The filled bags can be dropped off at Joyce Millers’ home on Sat. Nov. 4^th.

Popcorn Pickup - Sat. Nov 4^th at Ellen Phillips’ home from 1-4pm.

Popcorn Show & Sell advance ordering was discussed and approved as an additional ongoing fundraiser for the Pack. Ellen will order extra popcorn units for this purpose. Chris Sackett will call some business locations to set up a stand with 2-hour time slots for the boys & a parent to volunteer. It will also be sold at Pine Wood Derby snack stand. The popcorn will sell for 1.00$ a bag.

Reading Royals Scout Night- Nov 3^rd at 7:05pm. More details to follow.

Franklin Institute Overnight Trip - Jan 13^th . More details to follow.
